Una explosión masiva se registró en el puerto de Beirut, la capital de Líbano, este martes por la tarde. El suceso ha dejado a por lo menos 70 muertos y más de 3,700 heridos, de acuerdo al ministro de salud.
El Primer Ministro Hassan Diab ha hecho un llamado pidiendo asistencia internacional, describiendo la situación en Beirut y Líbano como una «catástrofe.» Entre las personas heridas se encuentran la esposa e hija del mandatario.
